Sree Sukrtindra Hall

 

Second Floor of the Institute building houses a Conference Hall which is named ‘Sree Sukrtindra Hall’. It is a regular venue for meetings with all basic amenities required for an auditorium. Seminars, Orientation classes and similar gatherings take place at this venue. The hall was originally constructed as a Seva by the late Dr. Dayanand V. Kamath in memory of his beloved wife Dr. Narmada D.Kamath.

This Auditorium is also intended to be a Hall of Fame in due course. With the recent refurbishing of the Hall, flooring and illumination wear a new bright look. Additionally a Photo Gallery has been mounted on the walls. H.H. Samyamindra Tirtha Swamiji, the Patta Shishya of our Chief Patron H.H.Sudhindra Tirtha Swamiji, blessed the Hall while paying a visit to the Institute on 04 May 2013. The Photo Gallery, comprising of the old and rare photographs of H.H.Sukrtindra Tirtha Swamiji of Kashi Math, was also declared open by the Swamiji.

Mr.Manohar Prabhu Parrikar, the Chief Minister of Goa State, paid a visit to the Institute on 14th July 2013. He went through numerable manuscripts and books stored in our Reference Library. He was given a Reception at Sree Sukrtindra Hall and our Vice President Adv. Lakshminarayana Prabhu presented a Memento to the visiting dignitary. Mr. Parrikar mentioned in his address that “Seeing is believing; Preservation of the mother tongue by Konkanis in Kerala, despite passing of centuries since migrating from Goa, is commendable.” He also announced that a Goa Centre will be opened in Kochi soon.
